Makeup TipsMake up is used all over the world by people to enhance their features ,hide imperfections , to look younger or just have a fresh look. There are many ways to apply makeup and in different categories. Here are a few suggestions.

First decide what kind of coverage you want if you have uneven skin, and even if you don't, it's best to start by applying a primer. It will make your foundation last longer. You have to decide what look you are going for-matte, semi-matte, or dewy. Some women like tinted moisturizer rather than foundation, unless you like a very made-up look.

Look for a shade that's a little darker than your skin, as your own color will still come through, but if you wear a shade that's too pale, it will give you an ashy appearance.

30 Steps to Perfect Skin!

The extreme change in temperature, moving from centrally heated offices to the cold outdoor chills, all contribute to making skin feel dry, flaky and sore.

1. It’s tempting to take long, hot baths and showers during the chilly winter mornings and evenings, but try not to. Bathing in hot water strips skin of its natural acid mantel, which leaves it prone to dryness.

2. Winter means it’s time to switch to a richer moisturiser, but be wise when choosing your skincare products. What truly matters is not the price of your cream, but whether it’s right for your skin type. An expensive cream is not right for everyone, no matter how glamorous it looks on your dressing table. E45 Facial Enriching Day Cream (£4.99) and E45 Facial Renewing Night Cream (£5.99), are loved by savvy beauty types.

3. ‘During Winter’s low humidity, water is drawn out from the skin’, says Sally Penford of the International Dermal Institute. ‘To protect the skin’s natural barrier layer, avoid using soaps and alkaline-based products that can break it down. Try to avoid heavy, overly rich moisturisers, which can clog the skin. Instead, choose a product that will offer deep-down hydration as well as an SPF protection.’

4. Use Equazen’s Qarma (£7.99 for a month’s supply). The organic evening primrose oil supplement contains sources of GLA (Gamma Linoleic Acid), an essential fatty acid that helps keep the skin smooth, hydrated and strong enough to cope with the hazards of the English winter.

Flip Flop A No To Wear In An Office

March 12, 2008 |22:14 | Makeovers for Him  By : Kaneta Babar

Unless you have pain in your foot or have hurt yourself accidentally against something do not think of wearing a flip flop to an office this is a definitely no, no so wear leather shoes instead to the office.
Unless you get a pedicure regularly, your feet probably look much better clad in leather shoes than exposed for all the world to see. Why then must we address flip-flops as an office wear no-no? Because casual Friday became casual Monday-through-Friday, some think they're living in a Corona commercial and keep showing up for work with bacteria factories strapped to their feet. Spring break may be a state of mind for you after your school days have ended, but we’ll leave that for your therapist to resolve. What you need to understand first is that men wear socks and leather shoes to work. For ultimate comfort and versatility find a pair of leather loafers in a British tan -- they're just as comfortable as flip-flops and a lot less childish and underdressed.

Anti Aging Skin Care Tips to Look Younger

February 22, 2008 |15:03 | Body Care | General Information | Makeovers for Him | Skin Care  By : Team X

Aging of the skin occurs when collagen becomes hard and gets meshed with neighboring collagen fibers. This prevents the collagen from holding water and plumping up. Instead, it collapses on itself, binds with other collagen fibers, and forms a kind of fishnet below the surface of the skin, which is manifested as wrinkles.

Causes of Aging Skin

Research shows that there are, in fact, two distinct types of aging. Aging caused by the genes we inherit is called intrinsic (internal) aging. The other type of aging is known as extrinsic (external) aging and is caused by environmental factors, such as exposure to the sun´s rays.

Though other skin care experts have identified free radicals and cellular inflammation as key triggers to the breakdown and aging of healthy skin, there is a way to prevent these culprits from developing in the first place-rather than just treating the unwelcome symptoms they´ve caused.

Dress Shirt Colors You Need To Own - Men Only

February 12, 2008 |15:50 | Makeovers for Him  By : Kaneta Babar

Times have changes now because of which some changes have also been noticed in men’s fashion also the surprising part is that men are now supposed to have their dress shirt colors  which have some do’s and don’ts. Move away from the white shirt and add a blast of color to your wardrobe by incorporating these fine colors to your sartorial repertoire. If you already know the various shirt styles every man should own. So let’s go a bit further and breakdown the must-own dress shirt colors for this year. Keep in mind, however, that adding color does not, under any circumstances, allow a man to ever wear a pink shirt. The pink dress shirt has had its time and there shall not be a 16th minute of fame for this silly-looking color on a man.

Classic blue
The classic blue dress shirt allows flexibility without the drollness of the white shirt. Best of all, the classic blue bridges the gap between formal and informal simply in the way you wear it. Pair it with a red tie and you’re ready for a political office. A dark gray or black tie lends formality and strength to your look. Go blue on blue with a sharp blue suit and tie for a continental look or leave it unbuttoned, sans tie, for a casually modern appearance. In short, this is the shirt you should always pack when heading out of town.

Gray
This sombre color outdoes classic blue in seriousness because it tones down any suit or sport coat it's paired with. If you thought a black three-button suit looked sharp with the classic blue, you haven’t truly entered a room until you wear this gray number from Ted Baker. The gunmetal black buttons also allow you to wear it with a neatly pressed pair of black trousers and modern lace-up Oxfords for a touch of casual elegance. The most underrated dress shirt color is black. No other dress shirt color besides black allows you to wear it with jeans, khakis, suits, and tuxedos while always looking your absolute best. By the way, let her wear it the morning after as you fix her breakfast and you’ll wonder why you’ve been wearing white all these years. In the end, however, this shirt was made to be worn with a muted charcoal tie under a gray modern-cut suit with black monk-strap shoes.

Mauve
OK, let’s get something straight right away: Mauve is not pink. The only time a man should ever have his hands on a pink garment is when he's helping a woman out of it. Got it? Good. Now back to the topic at hand; this is the perfect pastel-colored dress shirt and every man should have at least one of these in his closet waiting for that moment to subtly brighten any occasion. Now, once again, and all together now: Mauve is not pink. And this one is from Zegna, which makes it very, very good.

Black
The most underrated dress shirt color is black. No other dress shirt color besides black allows you to wear it with jeans, khakis, suits, and tuxedos while always looking your absolute best. By the way, let her wear it the morning after as you fix her breakfast and you’ll wonder why you’ve been wearing white all these years. In the end, however, this shirt was made to be worn with a muted charcoal tie under a gray modern-cut suit with black monk-strap shoes.

Heavy Stubble On A Man For Winter

January 21, 2008 |18:27 | Makeovers for Him  By : Kaneta Babar

Men must be having their views how they want a woman to look who can attract them like a magnet towards “The Woman” in their life but has anyone asked how we women want to have in a man? Of course no question definitely a Heavy Stubble!

Heavy stubble
Though you may not think it counts, heavy stubble is an effortlessly fashionable facial hair style for winter; plus, it provides a trendy, low-maintenance alternative to those styles that require more attention. Also, heavy stubble offers a perfect strategy for guys who are constantly dealing with a heavy beard. With its no-fuss appearance, this rakish option creates a laid-back image that errs on the side of ease. But if you still need convincing, look to the rugged styling of Zachary Quinto; his heavy stubble puts a disheveled brilliance on his impeccable style. So, go ahead and augment your winter wardrobe with some casual elegance and sport the heavy stubble.

What this facial hair style says about you: Easygoing and unassuming, you own a masculine, dapper appearance that’s devoid of being overly invested in maintaining a pristine pretty-boy appearance.

10 Essential Health Tips

January 11, 2008 |13:35 | General Information | Health Fitness Tips | Makeovers for Her | Makeovers for Him  By : Team X

1. Move More
Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Walk your dog; chase your kids; toss balls with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more. Thought for the day: Cha, Cha, Cha…. Then do it!

2. Cut Fat
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage). Dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream should be eaten in low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts. Most are available in lower fat versions such as substitute butter, fat free cheeses and mayonnaise. Thought for the day: Lean, mean, fat-burning machine…. Then be one!

3. Quit Smoking
The jury is definitely in on this verdict. Ever since 1960 when the Surgeon General announced that smoking was harmful to your health, Americans have been reducing their use of tobacco products that kill. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens. Could it be the Hollywood influence? It seems the stars in every movie of late smoke cigarettes. Beware. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' stance of Hollywood smokers. Thought for the day: Give up just one cigarette…. the next one.

4. Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.

5. Protect Yourself from Pollution
If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning when air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution and dirt from the street deterrent. Thought for the day: 'Smoke gets in your eyes'…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants….hum the tune daily.
